We had a fun week and weekend and I can't wait to post these pictures of my adorable tiger! Thursday Blake got all dressed up in his costume and we headed to the SR Library for the costume parade at story time. Blake loved all the little halloween rhymes and songs and thought it was so cool that all the kids were in costumes.
Saturday we headed out to Sheila's to make applesauce! Curtis was fabulous help and ran the Victorio Strainer and we kept busy washing, chopping, cooking, taste testing, bottling, and steam canning 30 quarts of applesauce. We had yummy apples, some from the local Isom's Fruit Farm and others from Doug's parent's apple trees, and we hardly had to sweeten the applesauce at all. We wrapped up the applesauce project and headed home to get ready for the trunk or treat.
Blake dressed as a Tiger, I was a pirate, and Doug an egyptian. We handed out lots of candy and got to see lots of our friends and neighbors in their creative costumes. Then we went home, popped pizzas in the oven and played games for the rest of the night with our friends, Lloyd and Sunni, Travis and Angie, Nate, and Cole. I totally spaced taking pictures, but we had a great time catching up with all of them!
